New SIG Positions

The SIG is searching for two members to fill the new Secretary and Treasurer positions!
The ideal candidates could be at any career stage and are enthusiastic about contributing to the SIG’s mission. We estimate a time commitment of 2-6 hours per month.

Co-Chairs and Committee Leads will review submissions and make notifications by April 10th.


  • Grow your involvement with the SIG and get a “behind the scenes look” at SIG happenings
  • Gain service experience working with the leaders of a professional organization 
  • Have input on SIG decisions (i.e., have the same ‘vote’ as a Committee Lead)
  • Be able to help design these new roles by providing feedback to and having collaborative discussions with the Co-Chairs. This includes initial onboarding meetings followed by periodic check-in meetings with the Co-Chairs

Secretary Responsibilities:

  • Attend, participate in, and support monthly meetings of SIG Co-Chairs and Committee Leads (every 4th Thursday at 3pm EDT), including compiling and distributing agenda and taking notes
  • Coordinate and streamline use of SIG Gmail account (e.g., sending emails, creating calendar events)
  • Distribute annual membership feedback survey and compile results into annual report
  • Complete other administrative tasks to support leadership (e.g., draft and format documents and emails)
  • Work with Treasurer to maintain accurate, up-to-date membership roster and listserv access 

Treasurer Responsibilities:

  • Attend and participate in monthly meetings of SIG Co-Chairs and Committee Leads (every 4th Thursday at 3pm EDT)
  • Manage the digital collection of member dues, donations, and any funding received from other sources (e.g., ABCT)
  • Track and disperse travel awards and honoraria
  • Work with Secretary to maintain accurate, up-to-date membership roster and listserv access
  • Complete yearly SIG Financial Accountability form for ABCT leadership
